Modal parameter identification using response data only
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2005Order estimation and spurious mode elimination concerning the subspace identification technique are discussed in this paper. To avoid underestimating the state space model order, order estimate is given in terms of component energy index rather than matrix singular values.

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2001Multiple degree of freedom (MDOF) algorithms are the dominant methods for extracting modal parameters from measured data. These methods are founded on the notion that because the response of a linear dynamic system is the sum of many modal contributions, the extraction technique must deal with all of the modal parameters in a simultaneous fashion.

Software Development in Frequency Domain Modal Parameter Identification
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2012A modal parameter identification software named as N-Broband is developed in VC++ platform. The software is suitable for EMA and OMA with broband identification feature. Meanwhile it also includes narrow band and selected band modal parameter identification methods. Correlation analysis between experiment and FEA can be performed in N-Broband.
