On the Synthesis of Modal Control
Abstract A new approach of modal control design by output feedback based on nonlinear programming is presented. The steps to design a control are the following: 1/choose closed loop eigenvalues, 2/ choose eigenvectors in order to get some algebraic objectives (appropriate invariant zeros might be choosen as closed loop e igenvalues for some algebraic

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Control-based modal synthesis [PDF]
This thesis presents an analysis of real-time controllable modal synthesis for use in music. There are only a few real-time modal synthesizers in existence. This is largely due to the computational demand that modal synthesis required in the past.

Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Modelling approaches for the low-frequency analysis of built-up structures with non-deterministic properties [PDF]
Virtual simulations of the behaviour of mechanical systems are of widespread use in academia and industry. Mechanical structures are often analysed using the finite element method, where deterministic models with one particular set of physical parameters

Turbine blade linkages in reduced modal synthesis model
The paper is the first stage of our modelling turbine blade linkages in reduced modal synthesis model. The modal synthesis method is used for the dynamic behaviour studies of turbine bladed wheels with frictional inter-blade linkages and in case of the ...
