Multi‐million cycle reliability for liquid metal stretchable electronics is achieved through a continuous cycle of mechanical testing, failure mode and mechanism analysis and implementing subsequent mitigation strategies. ABSTRACT Stretchable electronics that combine mechanical compliance with reliable electrical performance are essential for ...

A milimetre wave phase shifter using a wireless hybrid mode locked laser [PDF]
40 GHz hybrid mode locking is observed using planar antennas to form a wireless connection to the saturable absorber. Electronically controlled phase shift is measured which could enable remote antenna beam steering in future WLAN ...

Tunable 3D‐Printed Static Mixers for Gradient Bioprinting With High Cell Viability
ABSTRACT The fabrication of native tissue‐like structures with gradual transitions in material properties, cell types, and growth factors remains a major challenge in biofabrication due to the lack of suitable methods. Mimicking the hierarchical organization of living tissues is essential for functional models, yet creating gradient, multimaterial ...

Self-mode-locking semiconductor disk laser
The development of mode-locked semiconductor disk lasers received striking attention in the last 14 years and there is still a vast potential of such pulsed lasers to be explored and exploited. While for more than one decade pulsed operation was strongly linked to the employment of a saturable absorber, self-mode-locking emerged recently as an ...

Topological engineering of mode-locked fibre lasers: NALM/NALM2 technologies [PDF]
The work presents for the first time a comparative study of mode-locked figure-8 laser, in which two independently pumped active media are located either in the same or in different cavity loops.

Flexible silicon carbide (SiC) microelectrode arrays enable high‐fidelity, multichannel cell extracellular recording and precise localized ablation. SiC has been extensively evaluated to persist long‐term in chronic physiological conditions while remaining robust, with excellent electrical and electrochemical stability.

Intensity noise of mode-locked fiber lasers
Intensity noise of mode-locked fiber lasers is characterized systematically for all major mode-locking regimes over a wide range of parameters. We find that equally low-noise performance can be obtained in all regimes. Losses in the cavity influence noise strongly without a clear trace in the pulse characteristics.

When Cubic is Not Isotropic: Phonon–Exciton Decoupling in CuInSnS4 Single Crystals
A cubic CuInSnS4 crystal does not fully play by cubic rules. While phonons follow the average iso‐tropic lattice symmetry, the disorder‐localized excitons break away, showing strong, and reproduci‐ble polarization‐dependent emission. This work shows how intrinsic cation disorder can turn a mac‐roscopically cubic material into a source of hidden ...
