Common-Mode Capacitance of Bus-Bar-Based Common-Mode Inductors

2021 IEEE Electric Ship Technologies Symposium (ESTS), 2021
Prediction of the common-mode self-capacitance of common-mode inductors is essential to their design in order to ensure effective operation over the frequency range of interest. This paper presents a model for the calculation of common-mode capacitance of a bus-bar-based common-mode inductor. An equivalent circuit of the inductor that accounts for high-

Multi-Mode Bus Coupling Architecture of Superconducting Quantum Processor

Chinese Physics Letters, 2022
Resonators in circuit quantum electrodynamics systems naturally carry multiple modes, which may have non-negligible influence on qubit parameters and device performance. While new theories and techniques are under investigation to deal with the multi-mode effects in circuit quantum electrodynamics systems, researchers have proposed novel engineering ...

Avoided Mode Crossing Suppressed Microresonators with a Mode Filter Integrated Bus Waveguide

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2022
We introduce a tapered concentric bus waveguide to suppress avoided mode crossing induced by polarization mode coupling in microresonators. We experimentally validate the method using AlGaAs-on-insulator-based microresonators.

An express mode of urban bus systems

2020 IEEE 23rd International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC), 2020
This study proposes an express mode of urban bus systems. The new mode features conventional buses serving as a feeder to the express bus system that connects two distant spots with intense demand (e.g. transport hubs). Operated as ground transit service with very few stops, the express bus is designated to run on urban expressways to guarantee a high ...

Bus Frequency Allocation Model Based on Bus Service Mode

CICTP 2016, 2016
In the process of public transit operation there are two aspects, supply and demand, both of which are interactive. How to reasonably determine the frequency to coordinate the interest of two aspects is a key problem for transit operation management. Aimed at the frequency allocation problem, this paper uses dispatch frequency as decision variables and

Dual-mode low-power bus encoding for high-performance bus drivers

Proceedings of IEEE. IEEE Region 10 Conference. TENCON 99. 'Multimedia Technology for Asia-Pacific Information Infrastructure' (Cat. No.99CH37030), 2003
System-level buses consume much more power by orders of magnitude than on-chip buses. Existing bus encoding schemes are based on rail-to-rail CMOS bus drivers while recent high-performance devices include BiCMOS bus drivers to achieve transfer bandwidth required. BiCMOS drivers consume significant quiescent power as well as active power proportional to

Optimized single-mode tapped tee data bus

Optical Fiber Communication, 1982
Here we report on the design and implementation of an optimized 15-terminal 13-coupler tapped tee data bus. The system uses newly developed low loss biconically tapered fused fiber couplers, commercially available fiber pigtailed laser diode sources complete with 1-GHz bandwidth modulation drivers and high speed Si-APD photodetectors.

The operation mode control of hybrid urban bus

Proceedings 2011 International Conference on Transportation, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering (TMEE), 2011
This paper introduces the structure of powertrain system based on hybrid urban bus. The scheme of operation mode control is proposed according to the analysis of operation modes. Through the vehicle tests, the experimental results verify that the shifting of operation modes respond rapidly and correctly under the control of the vehicle controller.

Temporal coupled mode theory in ring-bus-ring configuration

Advances in Optoelectronics and Micro/nano-optics, 2010
We develop the temporal coupled mode theory for the ring-bus-ring device by taking account of the energy-conservation. The presence of the center waveguide in the tri-coupler section of the RBR facilitates the interaction between the two side-coupled rings.

A quaternary current mode bus driver and receiver circuits

2009 52nd IEEE International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2009
This paper presents a quaternary current mode driver and receiver circuits that can be used to drive on or off chip interconnections. The new design reduces the number of interconnections by half. Moreover, measurement results indicate a 27% power reduction when compared to the conventional inverter chain driver.
