Bus quality improvements and local commuter mode share
Transportation Research Part A: Policy and Practice, 2018Abstract The choice to use bus transit over a rival mode of transportation is a consequence of many variables. The importance of bus service quality on mode share is often considered but rarely measured explicitly. This study presents a novel temporal data set of geolocated buses from New York City.

Generation of common-mode currents on PCB power-bus structures
2006 17th International Zurich Symposium on Electromagnetic Compatibility, 2006In this paper, a significant generation process of common-mode currents on PCB power-bus structures is theoretically explained and experimentally investigated. Lumped elements connected asymmetrically to the power-bus are identified as the source of these common-mode currents.

Travel Mode Choice Based on Perceived Quality of Bus Service
CICTP 2015, 2015Perceived quality of bus services has great effects on passengers’ choice behavior among different travel modes. In this research, both qualitative indicators, like comfort, safety and convenience, and quantitative ones, such as travel time and travel expenses, were introduced into a Multi-Nominal model, to show their effects on passengers’ mode choice

Bus Voltage Control of DC Microgrid using Sliding Mode Control
2018 3rd IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics, Information & Communication Technology (RTEICT), 2018The world is witnessing tremendous growth in the contribution of renewable energy sources (RES) to meet the power demand. Continuous development and decreasing costs of renewable energy technology and semiconductor devices can be considered as key players behind this. With power semiconductor devices supporting efficient power conversion, DC compatible

Torsional Vibration Analysis of Multiple Driving Mode Hybrid Bus Drivetrain
Volume 8: 26th Conference on Mechanical Vibration and Noise, 2014Several hybrid electric driveline topologies have been introduced for vehicles in order to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency in the transportation sector. This study introduces a novel configuration for a hybrid electric bus driveline. The designed driveline is capable of operating in pure electric, series and parallel hybrid modes.

Changes in multi-mode bus transit efficiency, 1988–1992
Transportation, 1998This paper examines the claim that US bus transit productivity has declined in recent years. It does so with reference to a piecewise-linear best-practice (DEA) production frontier, computed for multi-modal bus transit between 1988 and 1992. Efficiency is measured both by a Russell (static) and Malmquist (dynamic) measure of productivity change.

Efficient Solving Method of Common-Mode Interference in Balanced Bus
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013To analyze the causes of common-mode interference from the definition of common-mode voltage, and the combination of graphics using mathematical formula image illustrates the size of common-mode voltage. At the same time, to analyze the method and defects of common-mode interference in the traditional two-line balanced communication line. On this basis,
