Mode Amplification and Nonlinear Mode Conversion in Few Mode Fibers
Frontiers in Optics 2016, 2016We demonstrate phase sensitive and insensitive amplification and nonlinear mode conversion in few mode fibers by studying the four wave mixing effect.

The challenge of imaging below the basalt layering, characteristic of the NE Atlantic margins can be met by searching for elements of mode converted energy. Careful removal of multiple energy reveals events below the top basalt which image with stacking velocities slower than the p-wave trend typical of the region.

The purpose of this paper is to develop Profile Change application that runs on Android platform. This is the first version of its kind and is developed based on Android platform. The goal of this paper is to find mobile when it is in silent mode and forgot where it is placed. In present days the entire world mobiles are using very rashly so the people

Resonance of higher order modes in waveguides can be advantageously used to make band rejection filters of unusual simplicity and low loss. The region where the resonance takes place can be obtained either by a change of cross section of the waveguide or by the inclusion of dielectrics.

Mode conversion in quadratic nonlinear crystals
Optics Letters, 2008We propose a novel all-optical, nonlinear mode-conversion scheme based on cascaded three-wave-mixing phase-matched interactions in quadratic nonlinear crystals. We demonstrate the method experimentally by performing all-optical mode conversion of an input 1636 nm Hermite-Gaussian mode from the zeroth order to the first order using two periodically ...

Demonstration of mode conversion in an irregular waveguide
Optics Letters, 2006Communications wavelength waveguide mode conversion is demonstrated in an irregular metal-walled structure that was designed by using multiresolution optimization. Strong scatter and a large number of degrees of freedom allowed high-efficiency conversion in a device having a length of just a few wavelengths.

ZnO-on-Si mode conversion resonator
IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1989A two-port admittance matrix model is presented to describe the operation of the surface-acoustic-wave (SAW) mode conversion resonator. A unique treatment of the transducer coupling is applied to the specific case of the mode conversion device. The model takes into account the simultaneous presence of propagating Rayleigh and Sezawa waves and allows an

Mode conversion coefficients in optical fibers
Applied Optics, 1975A simple method has been devised for the experimental determination of mode conversion coefficients in multimode fibers and involves only the observation of the far-field output as the angle of incidence of a collimated input beam is changed. The normalized mode coupling coefficient in a liquid-core fiber is D = 3 x 10(-6) rad(2) m(-1) and increases by

Metaplectic formulation of linear mode conversion
Physical Review E, 1993The metaplectic formulation of linear mode conversion is presented. We begin by discussing the connection between wave operators in weakly inhomogeneous media, their symbols, and related pseudodifferential operators. A brief summary of WKB theory and Hamiltonian ray dynamics is given.

Mode conversion and coupling in a slanted grating
Optics Letters, 2014We have proposed a novel transmission slanted grating at the central wavelength of 1550 nm, which can be used in optical communication. We have presented an approximate analytical expression that provides an insightful physical description of the simplified modal method for the slanted grating.
