Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Study on fracture process zone near mode II and mode III dynamic crack tip

Arabian Journal of Geosciences, 2020
Determination of the configuration and size of fracture process zone (FPZ) at dynamic crack tip is still a problem unsolved completely at present. In this paper, based on elastic dynamic theory and stress functions, a method for evaluating the configuration and the size of FPZ is proposed and the feasibility of the method is demonstrated.
