This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Complete CKM quark mixing via dimensional deconstruction
It is shown that the deconstruction of $[SU(2)\times U(1)]^N$ into $[SU(2)\times U(1)]$ is capable of providing all necessary ingredients to completely impliment the complex CKM mixing of quark flavors.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

All-optical mode conversion via spatially multimode four-wave mixing
We experimentally demonstrate the conversion of a Gaussian beam to an approximate Bessel–Gauss mode by making use of a non-collinear four-wave mixing (4WM) process in hot atomic vapor.

The empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is an established method for the time-frequency analysis of nonlinear and nonstationary signals. However, one major drawback of the EMD is the mode mixing effect.

Displacement-enhanced continuous-variable entanglement concentration
We study entanglement concentration of continuous variable Gaussian states by local photon subtractions enhanced by coherent displacements. Instead of the previously considered symmetric two-mode squeezed vacuum states, we investigate the protocol for ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Study on influence factors of mixing uniformity for dredged spoil utilized as a resource by PFM with static mixer [PDF]
The static mixer is a non-moving structure used for mixing fluid medium in the pipeline, and structural parameters are important factors affecting the mixing effect.

Multiple-scales analysis of cosmological perturbations in brane-worlds
We present a new approximation method for solving the equations of motion for cosmological tensor perturbations in a Randall-Sundrum brane-world model of the type with one brane in a five-dimensional anti-de Sitter spacetime.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
