Model-Driven Architecture for Mobile Applications
2007Although significant improvements in the development of business applications for mobile devices have been made in recent years, the software development in this area is still not as mature as it is for desktop computers. Therefore, declarative and code generation approaches should be preferred instead of manually coding.

Model driven architecture: Principles and practice
Software and Systems Modeling, 2004Model Driven Architecture (MDA) is an approach to application modeling and generation that has received a lot of attention in recent months. Championed by the Object Management Group (OMG), many organizations are now looking at the ideas of MDA as a way to organize and manage their application solutions, tool vendors are explicitly referring to their ...

Frameworks for Model-Driven Software Architecture
2005On every new development new issues are taken into account to cope with either environmental or the stakeholders needs that are evolving over time. Several approaches have faced this problem. Some of them exhibit this evolution ability by using static design/compile-time techniques whereas others introduce this ability in the system at run-time ...

Model Driven Architecture: Three Years On
2003Software is expensive to build, and more expensive to maintain and integrate; worse, the moment it’s created it’s a legacy that must be integrated with everything else that comes afterward. Getting past this problem once and for all will require some way to move up a level to designs that allow implementation on many platforms, as implementation ...

Reliability Support for the Model Driven Architecture
2004Reliability is an important concern for software dependability. Quantifying dependability in terms of reliability can be carried out by measuring the continuous delivery of a correct service or, equivalently, the mean time to failure. The novel contribution of this paper is to provide a means to support reliability design following the principles of ...

Architecture-Centric Model-Driven Web Engineering
2011 18th Asia-Pacific Software Engineering Conference, 2011To be adopted by architects, modelling approaches must provide a means to leverage the software patterns and architectural styles that are relevant to development practice, instead of those proscribed by black-box CASE tools. Architecture-Centric Model-Driven Software Development (AC-MDSD) is a modelling approach that provides architectural control of ...

Model-Driven Architecture for Web Applications
2007A number of Web design problems continue to arise, such as: (1) decoupling the various aspects of Web applications (for example, business logic, the user interface, navigation and information architecture; and (2) isolating platform specifics from the concerns common to all Web applications.

The Role of OCL in the Model Driven Architecture
2003Within the Model Driven Architecture (MDA) models and model transformations play a central role. At the model level OCL adds the precision that is lacking in plain UML. A model that combines the use of OCL and UML is perfectly suitable for MDA transformations. At the meta-model level, OCL is used to define validation rules for models.

Architecture Frameworks, Model-Driven Architecture, and Simulation
2010With the introduction and rapid success of the personal computer (PC) in the late 1970s, numerous computer applications were marketed to support the users in various domains. In the SE domain particularly, along with these software applications, several languages both formal and informal like VHDL [246], Petri Net family [4], IDEF [154, 242], UML [184],
