Design of Model Free Adaptive Controller for PMSM Speed Control
2019 IEEE 28th International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE), 2019In order to gain favorable control performance of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive system in the presence of structural perturbation and load disturbance, model free adaptive control (MFAC) method is introduced in the design of speed controller, since it only relies on the input and the output measurement data of the controlled plant ...

On Model-Free Adaptive Control and Its Stability Analysis
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2019In this paper, the main issues of model-based control methods are first reviewed, followed by the motivations and the state of the art of the model-free adaptive control (MFAC). MFAC is a novel data-driven control method for a class of unknown nonaffine nonlinear discrete-time systems since neither explicit physical model nor Lyapunov stability ...

Model-free adaptive (MFA) control
Computing and Control Engineering, 2004Since its introduction in 1997, model-free adaptive control products have been widely deployed in most major process industries and achieved significant economical benefits for the users. It is the only 'no model' advanced controller on the market that can control complex systems without the need to use first-principle mathematical models or ...

Active stabilization of a microgrid using model free adaptive control
2017 IEEE Industry Applications Society Annual Meeting, 2017At present, almost all the control methods for linear and nonlinear systems are model based. Nowadays, with the developments of technology many industrial processes have been undergone significant changes and process of systems have been more complicated.

Model-Free Adaptive Switching Control of Time-Varying Plants
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2013This paper addresses the problem of controlling an uncertain time-varying plant by means of a finite family of candidate controllers supervised by an appropriate switching logic. It is assumed that, at every time, the plant consists of an uncertain single-input/single output linear system.

Adaptive model-free control for robotic manipulators
2017 IEEE International Symposium on Robotics and Intelligent Sensors (IRIS), 2017In this paper, a model-free control policy for tracking problem in robotic manipulators with any numbers of degree-of-freedom (DOF) is proposed. Here, it is assumed that the dynamics of manipulators contains bounded unknown nonlinearities and external disturbances.

A Model-Free Adaptive Control of Pulsed GTAW
2007A closed-loop system is developed to control the weld pool geometry, which is specified by the backside weld width. The welding current and speed are selected as the control variables. A MISO ARX model is used to model this dynamic process. Because of uncertainties in the GTAW process, it is very difficult to design an effective control scheme by ...

The robust stability of model free adaptive control with data dropouts
IEEE ICCA 2010, 2010In this paper, a novel robustness of the model free adaptive control (MFAC) algorithms is presented when the system is subject to data dropout. It is assumed that an MFAC scheme is implemented via a network control system and that data dropout occurs due to a failing sensor, actuator or network failure, resulting in what it is called intermittent MFAC.
