Two-Dimensional Integrable Models in Quantum Field Theory

Physica Scripta, 1981
Summary: We review recent work on the quantization of a wide spectrum of completely integrable two-dimensional field theories.

A nonperturbative stability theory of quantum field theory models

Annals of Physics, 1985
A nonperturbative method of analysis of the stability problem of quantum field theory models is proposed. The method consists in the systematic analysis of the functional dependence on boson field B of the effective boson Lagrangian S/sup eff/(B) consisting of the fermion term S/sup F//sub 1/(B), constraint term S/sup F//sup P//sub 1/(B) and the boson ...

Mechanical Model for Quantum Field Theory

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1963
We consider two harmonic oscillators, coupled during a finite time. Initial and final states can be defined unambiguously, and if the duration of the coupling is sufficiently short, the S matrix can be computed explicitly. The coupling gx2y is investigated in detail, for complex values of g.

Nonlinear model in quantum field theory

Acta Physica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae, 1968
The mass spectrum of a nonlinear real scalar field was sought for using Ritz’s variational method. In the case of suitable renormalization 1, 2 or 3 finite values of rest mass were found. The different types of these excitations belong to different inequivalent representations of the field operators.

Quantum spin model for Reggeon field theory

Physical Review D, 1977
We study the Hamiltonian form of Reggeon field theory on a lattice in the two-dimensional (D = 2) transverse or impact-parameter space. The Hamiltonian formalism allows naturally for the privileged character of the longitudinal variable or rapidity, which is kept continuous.

Renormalization of a model quantum field theory

American Journal of Physics, 1992
Renormalization is the technique used to eliminate infinities that arise in quantum field theory. This paper shows how to renormalize a particularly simple model, in which a single mass counterterm of second order in the coupling constant suffices to cancel all divergences.

Modular Group Representations and Fusion in Logarithmic Conformal Field Theories and in the Quantum Group Center

, 2005
The SL(2, ℤ)-representation π on the center of the restricted quantum group at the primitive 2pth root of unity is shown to be equivalent to the SL(2, ℤ)-representation on the extended characters of the logarithmic (1, p) conformal field theory model ...

Asymptotic behaviour in model quantum field theory

Il Nuovo Cimento A, 1977
A solvable field-theoretical model is examined with respect to its asymptotic behaviour in strong coupling. The model entails the interaction via Yukawa coupling of a regularized fermion field with a boson field which is spurious,i.e. a boson carrying neither momentum nor energy.

Model Hamiltonians for Local Quantum Field Theory

Physical Review, 1965
We study the problem of renormalization for the interaction of a charged scalar meson field with a fixed two-level point source. Our especial interest is coupling-constant renormalization. We study in particular the problem of obtaining eigenstates and eigenvalues of the Hamiltonian for the fixed-source theory.
