Interpretation of Quantum Field Theories with a Minimal Length Scale

open access: yes, 2006
It has been proposed that the incorporation of an observer independent minimal length scale into the quantum field theories of the standard model effectively describes phenomenological aspects of quantum gravity.

Quantum field theory Potts model

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1978
We consider a quantum field theory analog to the three states Potts model [R. B. Potts, Proc. Camb. Phil. Soc. 48, 106 (1952)] in two dimensions. Our model can be interpreted as a neutral vector model with discrete gauge symmetry. We prove the existence of the thermodynamic limit by using the lattice approximation and correlation inequalities.

Diffeomorphism cohomology in quantum-field-theory models

Physical Review D, 1988
We show that the cohomology of the Becchi-Rouet-Stora diffeomorphism operator on the integrated functions in ${\mathrm{R}}^{d}$ can be easily computed as a series whose terms contain the cohomology elements of the same operator on the unintegrated functions.

Recoil Model in Quantum Field Theory

Physical Review, 1962
The static-source model is generalized to allow for the recoils and the mutual degrees of freedom of the source'' particles by adding to the Hamiltonian corresponding to the field and its sources the nonrelativistic Hamiltonian for the motion of the heavier particles. The resulting system can be quantized.

Asymptotic Fields in Some Models of Quantum Field Theory. I

Journal of Mathematical Physics, 1968
A quantum field with nonlocal interaction is considered. We prove under a proper smoothness condition on the interaction that the asymptotic limits of the annihilation-creation operators exist. The asymptotic limits are then used to prove that the state space decomposes as a tensor product of an incoming (outgoing) Fock space and a zero-particle space.

Nonperturbative stability analysis of quantum-field-theory models

Physical Review D, 1989
A nonperturbative method of analysis of the stability problem of field-theory models is proposed. The method consists in the investigation of the convergence of the functional integral representing the partition function of the theory with rescaled boson fields.
