Hardware modeling of GPU geometric pipeline rasterization based on UML and SystemC

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong, 2019
Architecture and algorithm determine the performance of GPU, and they need be verified as soon as possible. The paper brings forward a method of modeling based on UML(Unified Modeling Language), and describes the process of modeling GPU geometry engine ...

Quantitative proteomic analysis reveals different characteristics of bladder cancer cells after exposure to bisphenol A

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

Proteasomal degradation of intracellularly expressed Amblyomin‐X limits suicide gene therapy potential in melanoma cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study explores the feasibility of expressing the antitumoral protein Amblyomin‐X through a suicide gene therapy approach and investigates its intracellular fate after gene delivery. Although the gene is efficiently expressed, melanoma cells rapidly degrade the Amblyomin‐X protein via proteasome activity.

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Application of Unified Modeling Language in Health Care Systems: A Systematic Review

open access: yesمدیریت اطلاعات سلامت, 2018
Introduction: Health care systems are known as complex systems, which are difficult to analyze and reengineer. Health system engineers often rely on Unified Modeling Language (UML) to model and simulate various parts of these systems.

Combined 5‐aminolevulinic acid and ferric ammonium citrate treatment promotes hair follicle growth by activating dermal papilla cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
5‐Aminolevulinic acid combined with ferric ammonium citrate (5‐ALA/FAC) stimulates dermal papilla cell activity and promotes hair follicle growth. The treatment enhances ERK and AKT signaling, increases hair‐inductive gene expression, and restores dermal papilla function suppressed by dihydrotestosterone and oxidative stress, resulting in enhanced hair

Unpacking Translation Effects. Influences of Target Language Choice on Topic Modeling in Multilingual Environments

open access: yesMedien & Kommunikationswissenschaft
Machine translation is widely used in communication science to consolidate texts, not least for exploratory clustering approaches such as multilingual topic modeling. However, the impact of target language choice on topic modeling results remains unclear.
