Contribution of microcosm experiments to conservation science [PDF]
Abstract Microcosms, or miniature experimental systems, have been used to develop models and theories in ecology. However, their contribution to conservation science is unclear. We explored the application, design, and impact of microcosms in conservation science from 469 systematically identified articles published from 1986 to 2023.

Introducción a los modelos logarítmicos lineales [PDF]
One of the problems in Sociology is the lack of the algebraic and statistical analysis methods as powerful in qualitative variables as in quantitative variables. During recent years, the popularity of techniques linked to the lineal logarithm processes has increased.

Abstract Monitoring wildlife health is essential for conservation and management, wildlife and livestock welfare, and public health in a One Health framework. Yet, wildlife health monitoring often requires long‐term fieldwork and intensive sampling, which can be costly or logistically challenging, especially for remote, rare, or elusive populations. To

Abstract Modeling species distributions in dynamic pelagic environments remains challenging, particularly for wide‐ranging and highly mobile species when there is limited guidance on model performance. This limitation constrains the effective use of species distribution models (SDMs) in marine conservation, where robust and transferable predictions are

We estimated seasonal space use, cover selection, and resource selection; evaluated gene flow and potential genetic barriers; and assessed cause‐specific survival rates and reproduction of radiomarked gray foxes in Indiana, USA. Our results provide evidence that gray foxes in Indiana are an edge species with relatively large home ranges, relatively low
