Developing a Functional Polyelectrolyte Hybrid Layer Scaffold Coating and Evaluation of Its Performance for Interaction With Neural Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Polyelectrolyte scaffold coatings modified with Cu and Fe3O4 nanoparticles regulate neural stem cell behavior in vitro. Increased Fe3O4 content enhances mitochondrial activity and neuronal differentiation, whereas higher Cu levels reduce cell viability.

Textiles and Architecture: Enhancing the Urban Fabric By Quilting

open access: yes
Textiles are the architectural material of choice for the temporary and small scale. They are used when architecture does not fully meet a person’s need for shelter, in the form of insulating wall hangings, bedspreads, and clothing.

War, Bureaucracy, and Modernization An Alternative Model in the Process of Early Modern Architecture of Iran

open access: yes
Attempts to make a junction between identity and modernity in the 19th-century architecture of Iran have left this question unanswered: Is “Westernization” the sole narration of modernization in the architecture of Iran??

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...
