A New Hydroclimatic Signature: Negative NAO Dominance Under Weak La Niña Conditions During the 2025–2026 Northwest Africa Floods

open access: yesInternational Journal of Climatology, Volume 46, Issue 13, 15 November 2026.
Conceptual hydroclimatic pathway linking the concurrent negative North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO) phase and weak La Niña conditions to extreme February rainfall and flash flooding in Northwest Africa. ABSTRACT The winter of 2025–2026 in Morocco exhibited a rapid hydroclimatic transition from prolonged drought to widespread flooding, representing an ...

Phase II Study of Posttransplant Cyclophosphamide‐Based Graft‐Versus‐Host Disease Prophylaxis After HLA‐Mismatched Unrelated Donor Reduced Intensity Transplantation: Results From the ACCESS Trial Expansion Cohort

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 11, Page 2827-2835, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Posttransplant cyclophosphamide (PTCy) to prevent graft‐versus‐host disease (GVHD) improves outcomes in recipients of HLA mismatched unrelated donor (MMUD) allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo HCT). Outcomes of MMUD HCT using PTCy in patients requiring reduced intensity or non‐myeloablative conditioning (RIC/NMA) are not well ...

Climate‐Driven Distribution Modeling of the Glacial Apollo Butterfly (Parnassius glacialis) for Biodiversity Conservation

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 11, November 2026.
This study addresses a pressing issue in conservation science: the vulnerability of high‐altitude, range‐restricted insect species to climate change. The Glacial Apollo (Parnassius glacialis) is a butterfly of significant ecological and esthetic value, yet little is known about its response to projected climate scenarios.

Mapping Leopard Conservation Priorities in Southeast Asia

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 11, November 2026.
The Critically Endangered Indochinese leopard (Panthera pardus delacouri) is restricted to < 4% of its historical range across Southeast Asia by poaching, habitat loss and prey depletion. Using resistant kernel modelling through the CoLa Decision Support System, we present the first connectivity analysis for the subspecies across its extant and former ...

The Impact of Ants and Vertebrate Predators on Arthropods and Plants: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 11, November 2026.
We analyzed 486 global datasets to assess how the absence of predators affects predatory and herbivorous arthropods, arthropod richness, and plant damage. Vertebrate predator removal increased predatory arthropods by 18%, herbivores by 75%, and plant damage by 47%, while ant removal caused a 53% rise in herbivores and a 146% increase in plant damage ...

Time Series Fuzzy Bayesian Logistic Regression for Wildfire Event Prediction

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2026.
Abstract Wildfires are among the most destructive natural hazards, posing significant threats to ecosystems, communities, infrastructure, and economies. Accurately predicting the likelihood of wildfires enhances the effectiveness of preventive actions.
