Unsupervised domain adaptation and super resolution on drone images for autonomous dry herbage biomass estimation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Herbage mass yield and composition estimation is an important tool for dairy farmers to ensure an adequate supply of high quality herbage for grazing and subsequently milk production. By accurately estimating herbage mass and composition, targeted nitrogen fertiliser application strategies can be deployed to improve localised regions in a herbage field,

Epitope Mapping of Anti‐Neurofascin 155 Antibody in a Large Cohort of Autoimmune Nodopathy Patients

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Autoimmune nodopathy (AN), a newly recognized disease entity, is an immune‐mediated polyneuropathy involving autoantibodies against cell adhesion molecules located in nodes of Ranvier and paranodal regions, such as neurofascin 186 (NF186) and neurofascin 155 (NF155). The present study aimed to identify the epitopes for autoantibodies

Activation of SIRT1 Reduces Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells Fibrosis in Hypoxia Through SIRT1‐FoxO1‐FoxO3‐Autophagy Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Hypoxia promotes the epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) of renal tubular epithelial cells via the SIRT1‐FoxO1‐FoxO3‐autophagy pathway, thereby resulting in the fibrosis of renal tubular epithelial cells. Activation of SIRT1 or induction of autophagy inhibits this process, alleviating hypoxia‐induced fibrosis.

Review: dual benefits, compositions, recommended storage, and intake duration of mother's milk [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
Breastfeeding benefits both infants and mothers. Nutrients in mother's milk help protect infants from multiple diseases including infections, cancers, diabetes, gastrointestinal and respiratory diseases. We performed literature mining on 31,496 mother's-milk-related abstracts from PubMed and the results suggest the need for individualized mother's milk

Níveis de inclusão do resíduo do milho (mazoferm), em substituição ao farelo de soja para vacas em lactação = Inclusion levels of maize residue in substitution of soybean meal for lactating cows

open access: yesActa Scientiarum: Animal Sciences, 2008

A Novel Protein‐Polysaccharide Oral Nanoemulsion Targeting Activated Hepatic Stellate Cells to Enhance the Therapeutic Effect of Pirfenidone on Fibrosis After Transarterial Chemoembolization for Liver Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) may aggravate liver fibrosis. In this study, a novel oral targeting nanoemulsion is fabricated to enhance the therapeutic effect of antifibrotic drug‐pirfenidone (PFD) on fibrosis after TACE. Studies have shown that PFD nanoemulsion can enhance the oral liver targeting effect of PFD, and effectively improve the ...

Network analysis reveals a potentially 'evil' alliance of opportunistic pathogens inhibited by a cooperative network in human milk bacterial communities [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
The critical importance of human milk to infants and even human civilization has been well established. Although the human milk microbiome has received increasing attention with the expansion of research on the human microbiome, our understanding of the milk microbiome has been limited to cataloguing OTUs and computation of community diversity indexes.

Intraoral Drug Delivery: Bridging the Gap Between Academic Research and Industrial Innovations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intraoral drug delivery offers a promising route for systemic and localized therapies, yet challenges such as enzymatic degradation, limited permeability, and microbial interactions hinder efficacy. This figure highlights innovative strategies—mucoadhesive materials, enzyme inhibitors, and permeation enhancers—to overcome these barriers.
