Modified Newtonian dynamics (MOND)
This chapter presents Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND), the proposal that, below a certain acceleration scale $a_0$, dynamics departs from the Newtonian expectation. In that context, the determining factor for the emergence of apparent missing matter in galactic systems is predicted to be the acceleration, and not the mass or size of the system. MOND

Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) as a Modification of Newtonian Inertia [PDF]
We present a modified inertia formulation of Modified Newtonian dynamics (MOND) without retaining Galilean invariance. Assuming that the existence of a universal upper bound, predicted by MOND, to the acceleration produced by a dark halo is equivalent to a violation of the hypothesis of locality (which states that an accelerated observer is pointwise ...

On the gravitational potential of modified Newtonian dynamics [PDF]
The mathematical structure of the Poisson equation of Modified Newtonian Dynamics (MOND) is studied. The appropriate setting turns out to be an Orlicz-Sobolev space whose Orlicz function is related to Milgrom's μ-function, where there exists existence and uniqueness of weak solutions.

Geometry of modified Newtonian dynamics
Physical Review D, 2012Modified Newtonian dynamics is an empirical modification to Poisson's equation which has had success in accounting for the "gravitational field" Φ in a variety of astrophysical systems. The field Φ may be interpreted in terms of the weak-field limit of a variety of spacetime geometries.
