A Geometric Multigrid Solver for the Incompressible Navier–Stokes Equations Using Discretely Divergence‐Free Finite Elements in 3D

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Volume 97, Issue 12, Page 1609-1622, December 2025.
In this paper, we consider the concept of discretely divergence‐free finite elements (DDFFE) based on the Rannacher–Turek finite element pair to efficiently solve the three‐dimensional incompressible Navier–Stokes equations. For this purpose, we first define a spanning set of DDFFE functions and then characterize a set of basis functions for arbitrary ...

Entropy Generation and Heat Transfer in a Circular Cavity With Immiscible Fluids: Effects of Active Cylinder Position and Oscillating Magnetic Field

open access: yesHeat Transfer, Volume 54, Issue 8, Page 4799-4830, December 2025.
ABSTRACT This study investigates entropy generation and heat transfer in a circular cavity containing immiscible air and TiO2–water nanofluid layers with a centrally positioned active cylinder under oscillating magnetic field influence. The governing equations were solved using the Galerkin weighted residual finite element method with a penalty ...

Managerial Efficiency and Reverse‐Flow Complexity in a Circular Economy

open access: yesJournal of Operations Management, Volume 71, Issue 8, Page 1115-1142, December 2025.
ABSTRACT A Circular Economy (CE) is a system in which products are collected after customers have used them, remanufactured, and then put back into circulation for further use. This reduces the need for virgin materials to manufacture new units and wastage from used units.

Glass Microsphere‐Filled Microlayer Films via Layer Multiplying Co‐Extrusion: Morphology and Process Stability

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 310, Issue 12, December 2025.
This study explores processing conditions during the co‐extrusion of highly particle‐filled layered polymeric composites. With an appropriate rheology match, layers with thicknesses approaching the particle sizes are possible. However, instability‐driven layer break‐up occurs when a critical interfacial shear stress is exceeded.
