This paper proposes a series‐connected low‐voltage energy storage MMC for offshore wind power transmission. The energy storage submodule valve group is vertically installed in a grounded container near the electrode line, while the high‐voltage cell‐hybrid submodule valve group remains mounted on the base‐supported valve tower.
