Designed Lewis Acid–Base Passivation for High Performance Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Silicon's high cost and long energy payback time remain major barriers to the global expansion of solar power. In contrast, metal–halide perovskites offer abundant, solution‐processable absorbers, and have achieved efficiencies of 25%–30%, positioning them as strong competitors to silicon.

Blood Biomarkers and Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy for Gout: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustrating gout disease progression from asymptomatic hyperuricemia to chronic tophaceous disease, highlighting the limitations of conventional imaging and biochemical diagnostics and the potential of engineered SERS platforms for ultrasensitive blood‐based detection of urate‐related biomarkers across disease stages, with the color gradient

IntroSurvey of representation theory

open access: yes, 2022
There could be thousands of Introductions/Surveys of representation theory, given that it is an enormous field. This is just one of them, quite personal and informal.

Orientation reversal and the Chern-Simons natural boundary

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We show that the fundamental property of preservation of relations, underlying resurgent analysis, provides a new perspective on crossing a natural boundary, an important general problem in theoretical and mathematical physics.

A Molecular Shielding Strategy to Develop Low Protein Binding, Renal Clearable Pan‐Cancer Near‐Infrared Probes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A molecular shielding strategy to convert “protein‐sticky” and “non‐tumor specific” clinical ICG dye, into a “low protein binding” and “tumor‐targeting” dye with prolonged blood circulation and renal clearance is described. These shielded ICGs demonstrate strong tumor accumulation and optimal tissue clearance, resulting in high tumor‐to‐background ...

A Dual‐Functional Electrolyte Additive for Highly Reversible Zinc‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) as a dual‐function additive for aqueous zinc‐ion batteries. TBAB disrupts the hydrogen‐bond network of water while TBA+ adsorbs on Zn to improve interfacial wettability and regulate Zn2+ flux, resulting in suppressed dendrite growth and parasitic reactions. This synergy extended the lifespan of Zn|

Multichannel topological Kondo models and their low-temperature conductances

open access: yesSciPost Physics
In the multichannel Kondo effect, overscreening of a magnetic impurity by conduction electrons leads to a frustrated exotic ground state. It has been proposed that multichannel topological Kondo (MCTK) model involving topological Cooper pair boxes with ...

Powering Nanocrystal‐Based Heat Engines With Light‐Emitting Metasurfaces That Influence Their Temperature

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurfaces and other structured photonic environments can dramatically modify the absorption and/or light emission of semiconductors. However, the consequences of these changes on the temperature of the system are not well understood. The authors address this problem for colloidal nanocrystals and leverage their findings to convert light into ...

Ordinary pseudorepresentations, modular forms and Iwasawa theory

open access: yes, 2016
Pseudorepresentations appear naturally when we talk about modular forms that are congruent to Eisenstein series. I'll talk about the difficulties that arise when defining "ordinary pseudo representation", and how to resolve these difficulties.
