Modular Representation Theory- Notes and Expansions

open access: yes
These notes present a self-contained introduction to modular representation theory of finite groups. Beginning with FG-modules, simplicity criteria via the orbit algorithm, and Nakayama’s lemma, the text develops block theory through central idempotents and central characters modulo p, then analyzes defect groups as a measure of non-semisimplicity.

Bacterial‐Electrochemical Platform Utilizing a MXene‐Peptide Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A peptide‐based fibrillar hydrogel incorporating MXene facilitates efficient electron delivery to intracellular recombinant [FeFe]‐hydrogenase enzyme in E. coli, enabling sustained bioelectrochemical H2 production without engineered exoelectrogenicity pathways.

Computing modular forms for the Weil representation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
We describe an algorithm to compute bases of modular forms with rational coefficients for the Weil representation associated to an even lattice. In large enough weights the forms we construct are zero-values of Jacobi forms of rational index, while in ...

Application of Ibuprofen Sodium Dihydrate for Thermochemical Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Ibuprofen sodium dihydrate is introduced as a durable organic salt hydrate for low‐temperature thermochemical energy storage, operating within 60°C–110°C with high energy density. At the material level, it delivers ∼99.9% cycling efficiency over 150 cycles without deliquescence, enabled by a dual energy‐storage mechanism coupling dehydration and phase ...

Finite diamond-colored modular and distributive lattices with applications to combinatorial Lie representation theory

open access: yes, 2022
A modular or distributive lattice is `diamond-colored' if its order diagram edges are colored in such a way that, within any diamond of edges, parallel edges have the same color.

Multifunctional Gold Nanocluster‐Based PROTAC System for Targeted Degradation of Phosphorylated Tau and Modulation of Neuroinflammation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present a novel proteolysis‐targeting chimera (PROTAC) system conjugated to lipoic acid gold nanoclusters (PLANC), designed to degrade pTau, regulate inflammatory signaling, and effectively traverse the blood‐brain barrier (BBB). PLANC degraded pTau at various phosphorylation sites, with mechanistic studies confirming proteasome‐mediated degradation

Low‐Profile, High‐Gain GRIN RF Lenses via Multi‐Material Vat Photopolymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We investigate the opportunity of leveraging multi‐material vat photopolymerization printing to manufacture intricate lenses exhibiting permittivity gradients that can increase signal gain in transmitted radiofrequency signals in the X‐ and Ku‐bands. Lenses produced with more distinct low‐loss materials (up to 5) can deliver an 18 dB signal gain with a

Governing Platform Work in the Digital Economy: Comparative Policy Models in Southeast Asia and Pathways to Inclusive Labour Protection

open access: yesEconomies
Platform work governance has emerged as a pressing policy challenge in emerging economies, yet comparative scholarship remains dominated by advanced-economy cases and tends to analyse regulatory instruments in isolation rather than as interdependent ...
