Amenability and Fixed Point Properties of Semitopological Semigroups in Modular Vector Spaces
Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 2019AbstractIn this paper, we initiate the study of fixed point properties of amenable or reversible semitopological semigroups in modular spaces. Takahashi’s fixed point theorem for amenable semigroups of nonexpansive mappings, and T. Mitchell’s fixed point theorem for reversible semigroups of nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces are extended to the ...

Space-vectors based hierarchical model predictive control for a modular multilevel converter
2015 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2015The modular multilevel converter (MMC) is a competitive candidate for medium/high-power applications, specifically for high-voltage direct current transmission systems. Model predictive control (MPC) is an advanced and flexible method for power converters.

This paper presents an adapted space vector modulation scheme for modular multilevel converters cascaded to higher levels. Instead of extending a single hexagon to the regions corresponding to the number of levels, this scheme uses multiple overlapping hexagons which are phase displaced relative to each other.

Indirect Space Vector Based Modulation Techniques for High-Power Multi-Modular Matrix Converters
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2012Combining concepts of traditional multilevel converter and matrix converter (MC), the multimodular MCs (MMMCs) have reached the medium-voltage high-power level. These topologies possess features such as elimination of dc components and are able to output high-quality multilevel waveforms.

A three-level indirect space vector modulation scheme for multi-modular matrix converters
2012 IEEE International Symposium on Industrial Electronics, 2012The multi-modular matrix converters (MMMCs) constructed with three-phase to single-phase matrix converter modules have emerged as a viable topology candidate for high-power applications. Due to the three-to-two module structure and elimination of dc components, modulation scheme design for the MMMCs is not straightforward at first glance.

Reversible multi-modular converter has such merits as bidirectional energy flow, unity power factor, high power and high reliability. The Interleaved space vector modulation technique is developed to acquire a high equivalent switching frequency, and reduce the harmonic current injected into AC grid. This paper introduces a new reversible multi-modular

Space vector-based modeling and control of a modular multilevel converter in HVDC applications
2013 15th European Conference on Power Electronics and Applications (EPE), 2013Modular multilevel converter (MMC) is an emerging multilevel topology for high-voltage applications that has been developed in recent years. In this paper, the modeling and the control of MMCs are restated in terms of space vectors, which may allow a deeper understanding of the converter behavior.

This paper presents a novel low switching frequency SVM in conjunction with a modified delayed sampling principle for generating the switching patterns of individual GTO-based three-level units of a multi-module converter structure. Alternative switching strategies are compared with respect to their impact on output voltage spectrum, switching ...
