Novel handover scheme for indoor VLC systems

open access: yesIET Communications, 2021
Managing mobility in visible light communication systems is one of the main encounters that requires to be tackled. In this paper, we propose subcarrier multiplexing tones as control signals for handover in visible light communication systems.

PAPR reduction technique for FBMC based visible light communication systems

open access: yesIET Communications, 2022
One of the critical challenges in multicarrier‐based systems is peak to average power ratio (PAPR). Recently, Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) is proved to be a promising candidate that can replace the traditional orthogonal multiplexing division (OFDM ...

The Application Research of Atmospheric Optical Communication in Joint Modulation Transmission System

open access: yesGuangtongxin yanjiu, 2021
Aiming at the demand of high spectrum efficiency and low bit error rate of Wireless Optical Communication (WOC) technology, a joint modulation method of Pulse Amplitude Modulation (PAM) and Pulse Position Modulation (PPM) is proposed.

Generalized MIMO transmit preprocessing using pilot symbol assisted rateless codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we propose a generalized multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmit preprocessing system, where both the channel coding and the linear MIMO transmit precoding components exploit the knowledge of the channel. Moreover, we also propose a

Comparative Evaluation of Hemodiafiltration, Hemoperfusion, and Standard Hemodialysis on Efficacy, Inflammatory Control, Dialysis Adequacy, and Safety in End‐Stage Renal Disease: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

A blind detection method for spatial modulation in MIMO communications

open access: yesIET Communications, 2021
Spatial modulation (SM) is one of the probable candidates to be utilised in the fifth generation of wireless networks due to its power and spectral efficiencies.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

ANALYTICAL MODEL OF NOISE STABILITY CALCULATION OF SYSTEMS WITH MULTIPOSITIONAL MODULATION AND CODING BY REED-SOLOMON ALGORITHM

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники, 2020
The aim of this article is to create analytical models that estimate the continuity and effectiveness of digital radio communication systems using multipositional types of modulation (CAM-M, PM-M, FM-M, AM-M) and block coding according to the Reed ...

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...
