Spread spectrum modulation recognition based on phase diagram entropy

open access: yesFrontiers in Signal Processing, 2023
Wireless communication technologies are undergoing intensive study and are experiencing accelerated progress which leads to a large increase in the number of end-users. Because of this, the radio spectrum has become more crowded than ever.

Portable software modules for speech recognition [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the workshop on Speech and Natural Language - HLT '90, 1990
Because speech recognition R&D is conducted in large part through the creation and modification of computer software, productivity depends heavily on software engineering issues - the ease of writing new software and reusing existing software. These issues are relevant not just to the work within a particular R&D group, but also to the exchange of ...

Revealing the structure of land plant photosystem II: the journey from negative‐stain EM to cryo‐EM

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Advances in cryo‐EM have revealed the detailed structure of Photosystem II, a key protein complex driving photosynthesis. This review traces the journey from early low‐resolution images to high‐resolution models, highlighting how these discoveries deepen our understanding of light harvesting and energy conversion in plants.

Adaptive procedure for automatic modulation recognition

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2004
An adaptive procedure for automatic modulation recognition is described. With it the automatic modulation classification and recognition of radio communication signals with a priori unknown parameters is possible effectively.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
