Wave-Coupled W-Band LiNbO_3 Mach-Zehnder Modulator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Summary form only given. Mach-Zehnder amplitude modulators have been designed for W-band operation (94 GHz), at a 1.3-μm optical wavelength. These modulators use bow-tie antennas, which are relatively insensitive to DC bias connections made to the ends ...

Benzimidazoisoquinoline derivatives inhibit glioblastoma cell proliferation through down-regulating Raf/MEK/ERK and PI3K/AKT pathways

open access: yesCancer Cell International, 2018
Background Recent studies showed that benzimidazoleisoquinolinone derivatives exhibit anticancer activity against human cancer cell lines. The aim of this study is to evaluate the anti-tumor effects and mechanisms of benzimidazoleisoquinolinones in ...

Hybrid-aligned nematic liquid-crystal modulators fabricated on VLSI circuits [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
A new method for fabricating analog light modulators on VLSI devices is described. The process is fully compatible with devices fabricated by commercial VLSI foundries, and the assembly of the modulator structures requires a small number of simple ...

SIRT1 and SIRT2 Activity Control in Neurodegenerative Diseases

open access: yesFrontiers in Pharmacology, 2021
Sirtuins are NAD+ dependent histone deacetylases (HDAC) that play a pivotal role in neuroprotection and cellular senescence. SIRT1-7 are different homologs from sirtuins.

S945L-CFTR molecular dynamics, functional characterization and tezacaftor/ivacaftor efficacy in vivo and in vitro in matched pediatric patient-derived cell models

open access: yesFrontiers in Pediatrics, 2022
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) results from over 400 different disease-causing mutations in the CF Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR) gene. These CFTR mutations lead to numerous defects in CFTR protein function.

Polynomial Modules Over Macaulay Modules [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1976
In [2] we introduced a concept of a Macaulay module over a right noetherian ring by saying that all associated primes of the module have the same codimension. That is to say that a module M over a right noetherian ring R is Macaulay if K dim R/P = K dim R/Q for all P, Q ∈ Ass M.

$D$-module and $F$-module length of local cohomology modules [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 2018
Let $R$ be a polynomial or power series ring over a field $k$. We study the length of local cohomology modules $H^j_I(R)$ in the category of $D$-modules and $F$-modules. We show that the $D$-module length of $H^j_I(R)$ is bounded by a polynomial in the degree of the generators of $I$.

The Nyquist criterion: a useful tool for the robust design of continuous-time ΣΔ modulators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
This paper introduces a figure of merit for the robustness of continuous-time sigma-delta modulators. It is based on the Nyquist criterion for the equivalent discrete-time (DT) loop filter.

Multiplication Modules [PDF]

open access: yesCanadian Mathematical Bulletin, 1979
All rings R considered here are commutative with identity and all the modules are unital right modules. As defined by Mehdi [6] a module MR is said to be a multiplication module if for every pair of submodules K and N of M, K ⊂ N implies K=NA for some ideal A of R. This concept generalizes the well known concept of a multiplication ring.
