Motives with modulus, II: Modulus sheaves with transfers for proper modulus pairs [PDF]
We develop a theory of sheaves and cohomology on the category of proper modulus pairs. This complements [KMSY21], where a theory of sheaves and cohomology on the category of non-proper modulus pairs has been developed.Comment: 31 ...

Comparative Study on Complex Modulus and Dynamic Modulus of High-Modulus Asphalt Mixture [PDF]
In the French high-modulus asphalt mixture design system, the complex modulus of the mixture under the conditions of 15 °C and 10 Hz is taken as the design index. However, in China, the dynamic modulus under the conditions of 15 °C, 10 Hz, 20 °C, 10 Hz and 45 °C, 10 Hz was taken as the stiffness modulus index of high-modulus asphalt mixture.

Experimental Study on Mechanical Properties of Randomly Oriented Natural Fiber Hybrid Composites [PDF]
Natural fibers such as banana, sisal, snake grass, coir, hemp, jute and so on are armed with enormous advantages like less weight, reliability, recyclability and environmental friendly nature. Such fibers may enhance the system’s performance by acting as

Geogrid-Enhanced Modulus and Stress Distribution in Clay Soil
A series of laboratory and large-scale field model footing tests were conducted to assess the modulus and stress distribution behavior of a clayey soil foundation, both with/without geogrid reinforcement, deviating from the conventional approach of ...

Dielectric properties of calcium-substituted lanthanum ferrite
Among La1-xCaxFeO3-δ (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.5) compounds, the optimal value of the direct current conductivity was registered for a 20% substituted amount. We therefore attempted to study the impedance and dielectric properties of 20% calcium-substituted lanthanum ...

The Minimum Modulus of Polynomials [PDF]
In answer to a problem of Erdös and Littlewood we produce an n n th degree polynomial, P ( z ) P(z) , with coefficients bounded by 1 satisfying | P ( z ) | > C n |P(z)

Phenomenology of a stabilized modulus [PDF]
We explore the phenomenology of a stabilized modulus field in the Randall-Sundrum scenario. It is found that if the large separation between branes arises from a small bulk scalar mass then the modulus (i.e. radion) is likely to be lighter than the lowest Kaluza-Klein excitations of bulk fields, and consequently may be the first direct signature of the

Deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty in the management of keratoconus
Advanced cases of keratoconus often require surgical intervention to restore corneal anatomy and improve eyesight. Penetrating keratoplasty (PK) although commonly performed has potential risk of immunological rejection and is now no longer automatically ...

Energy storage and dissipation by composite materials are important design parameters for sensors and other devices. While polymeric materials can reversibly store energy by decreased chain randomness (entropic loss) they fail to be able to dissipate ...

Elastic Properties of Carbon Nanotubes and Nanoropes [PDF]
Elastic properties of carbon nanotubes and nanoropes are investigated using an empirical force-constant model. For single and multi-wall nanotubes the elastic moduli are shown to be insensitive to details of the structure such as the helicity, the tube ...
