Relaxation Modulus and Complex Modulus
2017The main purpose of this chapter is to relate the relaxation modulus of bitumen through its stiffness modulus with the penetration index and the softening point of asphalt. In this chapter, the equations are derived for numerical and analytical evaluation of relaxation modulus and complex modulus of asphalt based on its stiffness modulus.

Capability Analysis for Modulus of Elasticity and Modulus of Rupture
2013 10th International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations, 2013Sawn softwood timber is used as a structural component in house walls and roofs. Consequently, the consumption trends generally follow those of the housing industry. Therefore, Government imposes tough quality control and quality assurance on the timber industry to grantee product standard meets the specifications in building industry.

The generalized modulus has numerous applications in geometric function theory and analytic number theory. In this paper, we study the monotonicity and convexity of the generalized modulus and obtain sharp functional inequalities for this function. Our results are the extensions of some well-known inequalities of the modulus of the Grotzsch ring.

Abstract The experimental values available in the literature for the shear modulus, the bulk modulus and Young's modulus of polycrystalline f.c.c., b.c.c. and h.c.p. metallic elements were critically evaluated. It was shown that simple relations exist between the elastic moduli of polycrystalline metals: G/E = a, G/B = b, and E/B = c.
