Studi Modulus Elastisitas (Modulus Young) untuk Karakterisasi Berbagai Jenis Batubara Berdasarkan Analisis Kecepatan Gelombang [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009

Units of modulus 1

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 1975
AbstractIf k is an algebraic number field which is normal over the field of rational numbers then it is shown that k has nontrivial units of modulus 1 if and only if the maximal real subfield of k is also a normal extension of the rationals. A characterization of the units is given for fields which satisfy the above conditions.

Nisnevich topology with modulus [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of K-Theory, 2020
In Voevodsky's theory of motives, the Nisnevich topology on smooth schemes is used as an important building block. In this paper, we introduce a Grothendieck topology on proper modulus pairs, which will be used to construct a non-homotopy invariant generalization of motives.

Assessment of skin in patients with systemic sclerosis using high‐frequency ultrasound and shear wave elastography: A comparative study with histology, molecular and clinical parameters

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Ultrasound (US) has been proposed as a potential tool for assessing skin fibrosis in systemic sclerosis (SSc). However, a large‐scale comparison of US‐based assessment with histological markers of skin fibrosis has not been reported. We evaluated the US‐based skin assessments for their face validity (differentiation between involved SSc and ...

The Immobilization of Hyaluronic Acid in 3D Hydrogel Scaffolds Modulates Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
This study explores the use of collagen‐hyaluronic acid (HA) hydrogels for the 3D culture of macrophages, providing a useful tool for modelling macrophage behavior in tissues and diseases. It highlights how hydrogel composition, mechanical properties, and preparation methods influence macrophage behavior, revealing for the first time that HA's ...

A possible testbed for warped extra dimension from the angle of Buchdahl's limit

open access: yes, 2018
We consider a five dimensional AdS warped spacetime in presence of a massive scalar field in the bulk. The scalar field potential fulfills the requirement of modulus stabilization even when the effect of backreaction of the stabilizing field is taken ...

On the maximum modulus of polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1985
The reviewed paper contains some extensions of the inequalities concerning the modulus of the polynomial taken on different circles. For example: if \(p(z)=\sum^{n}_{k=1}a_ kz^ k\) is a polynomial of degree n, having no zeros in \(| z|

Using a Supramolecular Approach to Engineer Modular Hydrogel Platforms for Culturing Protoplasts – from General Tissue Engineering to Cellular Agriculture

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
Using supramolecular monomers, various hydrogel culture systems were formulated to culture protoplasts; including 2D, 2.5D, and 3D hydrogels. Depending on the culture platform, bioactive functionalization led to protoplast enlargement (2D and 2.5D) or plasmolysis (3D). This work shows the potential to modularly engineer synthetic platforms for cellular

An Accuracy Problem of the Fwd Time History with Regard to the Application of the Sasw Method

open access: yesCivil and Environmental Engineering, 2017
A Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) represents one group of the devices used for diagnostics of pavement bearing capacity. Usually, the FWD dynamic load is substituted by a static load in the evaluation process to determine the equivalent modulus of a ...

Acute corneal hydrops in keratoconus

open access: yesIndian Journal of Ophthalmology, 2013
Acute corneal hydrops is a condition characterized by stromal edema due to leakage of aqueous through a tear in descemet membrane. The patient presents with sudden onset decrease in vision, photophobia, and pain.
