Catalytic properties of pristine and defect-engineered Zr-MOF-808 metal organic frameworks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
[EN] Various defect-engineered Zr-trimesate MOF-808 compounds (DE-MOF-808) have been prepared by mixing the tricarboxylate ligands with dicarboxylate ligands; viz. isophthalate, pyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate, 5-hydroxy-isophthalate, or 5-amino-isophthalate.

Chirality‐Driven Piezocatalysis in MOFs: Achieving Efficient Cocatalyst‐Free Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report a chirality‐driven post‐synthetic modification strategy that grafts chiral L‐histidine (L‐His) onto the Hf6 clusters of MOF‐808(Hf), which significantly boosts the piezoelectricity and charge transfer efficiency, thus significantly enhancing the piezocatalytic performance of MOF‐808(Hf).

Densification Pressure Optimization of MOF-808-Based Membranes for Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yes, 2023
The use of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) in hybrid electrolytes for lithium (Li) metal batteries has grown in prominence in recent years, primarily due to the chemical tunability of the MOF’s pore structures, which can directly influence Li–ion ...

Biofilm‐Binding Phages Enhance Biofilm Eradication by Synergistic Photothermal and Photodynamic Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Engineered phage‐based trifunctional nanofibers are developed for synergistic biofilm eradication. Biofilm‐binding phages, armed with AuNPs and TCPP, serve as both warheads and scaffolds, endowing the phototherapy agents with biofilm‐anchoring ability. Upon light irradiation, AuNPs induce photothermal therapy, while TCPP generates 1O2 for photodynamic ...

Fluorinated Metal–Organic Framework–Polymer Mixed Matrix Membrane with Tunable Hydrophobic Channel for Efficient Pervaporation of Butanol/Water

open access: yesSmall Structures
The permeability–selectivity trade‐off of membrane is a major challenge limiting the development of pervaporation (PV) technology. Rational design of high‐performance mixed matrix membranes (MMMs) has the potential to break off the trade‐off.
