Soil Moisture Retrieval using a Time-Series Ratio Algorithm for the Nisar Mission
2021 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium IGARSS, 2021The NASA ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) mission is currently under development and is scheduled for launch in 2022. The NISAR mission will provide global data sets of Earth land surface dynamics that are critical for multiple Earth Science disciplines including observations of ecosystem carbon and water cycles.

A parameterization of Bowen ratio with respect to soil moisture availability
Advances in Atmospheric Sciences, 1995The Bowen ratio (B) is impacted by 5 environmental elements: soil moisture availabillity,m, the ratio of resistances between atmosphere and soil pores,r a/rD, atmospheric relative humidity,h, atmospheric stability, δT, and environment temperature.

Effect of different drying methods on moisture ratio and rehydration of pumpkin slices
Food Chemistry, 2016This study was carried to determine the influence of hot air drying process and combined methods on physicochemical properties of pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) samples. The experiments in hot air chamber were lead at 50, 60 and 70 °C. The combined method consists of a triple combination of the main drying techniques.

Decomposition of SMAP polarization ratio into surface soil moisture and vegetation dynamics
2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017In this study we examined the linear decomposition and relationship between the SMAP observed Polarization Ratio into surface soil moisture and vegetation. Temporal linear regression, per each SMAP pixel, is performed to estimate the decomposition coefficients.

Shoot Root Ratio and Moisture Relations
Transactions of the Kansas Academy of Science (1903-), 1945Many shoot-root ratio studies have been made by various plant physiologists and ecologists. The data and conclusions of these workers do not always agree. Some of the workers (2) believe the ratio to be an hereditory factor while others (1i, ) believe it may be modified materially by environmental factors.

Measurement of Moisture Content of Coal Based on Standing-wave Ratio
2010 International Conference on Measuring Technology and Mechatronics Automation, 2010A method of measuring moisture content of coal based on standing-wave ratio was put forward. Because the permittivity of coal was also influenced by the temperature and degree of compaction of coal, and there was a complicated nonlinear relationship among the moisture content of coal, permittivity, temperature and degree of compaction, the least ...
