A proposal for a SAR interferometric model of soil moisture
Since long it is known that SAR interferometric observables are influenced by soil moisture variations, however there is a lack of scattering models that link interferometric observables and variations of the dielectric properties.

The role of moisture transport for precipitation in the inter-annual and inter-daily fluctuations of the Arctic sea ice extension [PDF]
By considering the moisture transport for precipitation (MTP) for a target region to be the moisture that arrives in this region from its major moisture sources and which then results in precipitation in that region, we explore (i) whether the MTP from ...

The physical dimensions and shape of bacterial cells define the surface area available to acquire nutrients and the volume available for synthesizing proteins and DNA. Here, we use computational systems biology to decode the importance of cell geometry as a major determinant of prokaryotic phenotype, including growth rate and metabolic efficiency. This

Aeolian sand transport on beaches is strongly affected by surface moisture, but its influence on transport evolution remains poorly understood. We present a novel discrete particle modeling framework to systematically investigate how moisture from liquid

Moisture Transport and Contribution to the Continental Precipitation
Understanding the water cycle change under a warming climate is essential, particularly the ocean to land moisture transport, which affects the precipitation over land areas and influences society and the ecosystem. Using ERA5 data from 1988 to 2020, the

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

THE INFLUENCE OF RAW MATERIAL ON THE LIQUID MOISTURE TRANSPORT THROUGH KNITTED FABRIC [PDF]
The comfort is undoubtedly the most important human attribute depends upon the moisture transport which in turn depends on the moisture transport behavior of the knitted fabric.

The Gulf Stream Front Amplifies Large-Scale SST Feedback to the Atmosphere in North Atlantic Winter
The Gulf Stream (GS) ocean front releases intense moisture and heat to the atmosphere and regulates storm tracks and zonal jets in winter. The large-scale sea surface temperature (SST) anomaly in the central North Atlantic provides important feedback to ...
