Clockwise rotation of the western Mojave Desert
Geology, 1988A study of paleomagnetic data from Miocene volcanic rocks in the western Mojave Desert, which suggests about 25 deg of clockwise rotation, is presented. A total of 166 oriented core samples of two types of basalt were taken from 19 sites in the region.

Memory responses to ovalbumin-immunization in Mojave desert tortoises
Developmental & Comparative ImmunologyWe immunized three groups of Mojave desert tortoises (Gopherus agassizii): a group immunized twice, a group immunized once, and a group sham-immunized. We used the antigen, ovalbumin (OVA), with Freund's adjuvant to elicit antibody responses similar to those induced by extracellular bacteria.

Seasonal Contrasts in the Eastern Mojave Desert
1970Abstract : Winter and summer seasons in the eastern Mojave Desert are compared in this report, using time-lapse photographic techniques to record seasonal contrasts at nine selected locations. The identical field-of-view from each site, for each season, is printed in full color to realistically portray the differences between the hot and cool periods ...
