THYROID FUNCTION IN MOLAR PREGNANCY

Thyroid function was investigated in 6 patients with molar pregnancy by means of PBI (all 6 patients), resin uptake (2 patients) and 131I-tracer test (1 patient). The PBI levels were found to be much higher than in normal pregnancies, whereas the resin uptakes were in the same range as those found in normal pregnancy.

Coagulation and fibrinolysis in molar pregnancy

Coagulation and fibrinolysis tests were performed in 14 patients with hydatidiform mole before any significant therapy was given and again, after evacuation of the mole, in eight instances. The results were compared with those found in a group of ten volunteers with normal pregnancies.
