The concept of impedance, which characterises the current response to a periodical driving, is introduced in the context of stochastic transport. In particular, we calculate the impedance for an exactly solvable model, namely the stochastic transport of ...

Direct Mode‐Resolved Measurement of Interfacial Phonon Transport by Acoustic Phonon Reflectometry
We introduce a novel analysis, acoustic phonon reflectometry, that measures the mode‐resolved phonon reflection coefficient at semiconductor interfaces. In aluminum nitride, we observe excellent agreement with the acoustic mismatch model across three distinct interfaces.

Exploratory search during directed navigation in C. elegans and Drosophila larva
Many organisms—from bacteria to nematodes to insect larvae—navigate their environments by biasing random movements. In these organisms, navigation in isotropic environments can be characterized as an essentially diffusive and undirected process.
