X-ray absorption spectroscopy has been utilized to obtain the L-edge multiplet spectra for a series of non-heme ferric and ferrous complexes. Using these data, a methodology for determining the total covalency and the differential orbital covalency (DOC),

The separation of Helium gas from natural gas is challenging but highly important. MIL‐116(Ga), a “non‐porous” metal–organic framework is used as a molecular sieve to separate He from CH4. Druse‐like MIL‐116(Ga) particles are integrated into polysulfone mixed matrix membranes.

Reversible Dihydrogen Splitting and Diradical Reactivity of 1,4‐Digermabenzene‐1,4‐diide
Here, we report the use of an alkyne‐functionalized amidine, PhC{N(Dipp)}N(Dipp)C≡CSiMe3 (1) (Dipp = 2,6‐iPr2C6H3), to access a range of Ge(IV), Ge(II/IV), Ge(II), and Ge(I) compounds based on an anionic dicarbene (ADC) framework (ADC = PhC{N(Dipp)C}2 ...

Photochemistry of iron complexes [PDF]
Although iron is among the most abundant of the bio-essential transition metals and its coordination chemistry is of central importance to bio-inorganic and bioinspired chemistry, its photochemistry has been overshadowed by ruthenium polypyridyl ...

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries

Isolation of an Anionic Dicarbene Embedded Sn2P2 Cluster and Reversible CO2 Uptake
Decarbonylation of a cyclic bis‐phosphaethynolatostannylene [(ADC)Sn(PCO)]2 based on an anionic dicarbene framework (ADC = PhC{N(Dipp)C}2; Dipp = 2,6‐iPr2C6H3) under UV light results in the formation of a Sn2P2 cluster compound [(ADC)SnP]2 as a green ...

Surprisingly Fast Interface and Elbow Angle Dynamics of Antigen-Binding Fragments
Fab consist of a heavy and light chain and can be subdivided into a variable (VH and VL) and a constant region (CH1 and CL). The variable region contains the complementarity-determining region (CDR), which is formed by six hypervariable loops, shaping ...

Molecular design of hybrid organic-inorganic nanocomposites synthesized via sol-gel chemistry [PDF]
The design, synthesis and some optical properties of hybrid organic-inorganic nanocomposites materials are presented. The properties that can be expected for such materials depend on the chemical nature of their components, but they also depend on the synergy of these components.
