Anti‐icing Performance of Superhydrophobic Surfaces with Periodic Micro‐nano Structures Directly Induced by Femtosecond Laser

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study provides a femtosecond laser etching method for preparing superhydrophobic anti‐icing surfaces, which directly induces periodic micro‐nano structures on the laser scanning path, eliminating the complicated steps of designing hydrophobic patterns.

3D Printing of Photocrosslinked Alginate Dialdehyde‐Gelatin Hydrogels Reinforced with Cobalt‐Containing Mesoporous Bioactive Glass Nanoparticles for Developing Skin Wound Dressings

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Bioactive multi‐crosslinked hydrogels are prepared from gelatin methacrylate (GelMA), methacrylate‐functionalized alginate dialdehyde (ADAMA), and Cobalt‐doped mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles (Co‐MBGNs), demonstrating optimized elasticity, cytocompatibility, and wound healing potential.

Investigating Dopant Effects in ZnO as an Electron Transport Layer for Enhanced Efficiency in Organic Photovoltaics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
By doping the elements with different numbers of valence electrons (Al3+ and Sn4+ ions) into the ZnO matrix, device conversion efficiencies of 8.69% and 9.21%, respectively, are achieved. The ultrafast time‐resolved studies show that the elevated carrier concentration in Sn‐doped ZnO, in comparison with Al‐doped ZnO and un‐doped ZnO, plays a ...

ESCRT III Regulates Lysosomal Perinuclear Clustering by Inhibiting Kinesin 1 Leading to Agnps Cytotoxicity in Human Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
AgNPs cause significant damage upon entering the lysosomes of human fibroblasts, resulting in lysosomal transport disorders and the occurrence of perinuclear clustering (LPC) of lysosomes by promoting apoptosis that is accompanied by a reduction in the expression levels of ESCRT III and Kinesin 1 proteins.

Lipid‐Hybrid Multicompartment Membrane Systems for Controlled, Compartmentalized Encapsulant Release

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Herein a bio‐inspired, lipid‐hybrid‐based multicompartmental material for scalable (milliliter) microencapsulation (20 – 200 µm) and controlled release of aqueous solutions is presented. The multicompartmental architecture provides non‐mixing environments, spatial patterning of encapsulants, and controlled compartmentalized release by surfactant ...
