Single nucleotide polymorphisms from Theobroma cacao expressed sequence tags associated with witches' broom disease in cacao [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In order to increase the efficiency of cacao tree resistance to witches¿ broom disease, which is caused by Moniliophthora perniciosa (Tricholomataceae), we looked for molecular markers that could help in the selection of resistant cacao genotypes.

Molecular Markers for Breast Cancer: Prediction on Tumor Behavior

open access: yesDisease Markers, 2014
Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers with greater than 1,300,000 cases and 450,000 deaths each year worldwide. The development of breast cancer involves a progression through intermediate stages until the invasive carcinoma and finally into ...

Surfaceome: a new era in the discovery of immune evasion mechanisms of circulating tumor cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the era of immunotherapies, many patients either do not respond or eventually develop resistance. We propose to pave the way for proteomic analysis of surface‐expressed proteins called surfaceome, of circulating tumor cells. This approach seeks to identify immune evasion mechanisms and discover potential therapeutic targets. Circulating tumor cells (

Proteomic analysis in wild type and cisplatin resistant yeast strain of saccharomyces cerevisiae [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Research carried out in oncology has allowed the identification and characterization of molecular markers of resistance to antineoplastic drugs. It supposes a great advance and allows the administration of customized chemotherapies to patients.

Clinical applications of next‐generation sequencing‐based ctDNA analyses in breast cancer: defining treatment targets and dynamic changes during disease progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a possibility for different applications in early and late stage breast cancer management. In early breast cancer tumor informed approaches are increasingly used for detecting molecular residual disease (MRD) and early recurrence. In advanced stage, ctDNA provides a possibility for monitoring disease progression and

Identification of sex‐specific molecular markers using restriction site‐associated DNA sequencing

open access: yesMolecular Ecology Resources, 2014
A major barrier to evolutionary studies of sex determination and sex chromosomes has been a lack of information on the types of sex‐determining mechanisms that occur among different species.

Molecular Marker of Tumours

open access: yesJournal of Cancer Therapy, 2016
Molecular structure of the marker of tumour is determined by magneto-optical analysis of blood serum. The marker is the laevorotatory enantiomer of alanine. The cancer status of a subject is described by the number of molecules of the laevorotatory alanine enantiomer (-)ρ and the effectiveness of therapy is measured by the number of molecules of ...

Circulating tumor cells in metastatic breast cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors – a biomarker analysis of the ALICE and ICON trials

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.
