Waiting time distribution for electron transport in a molecular junction with electron-vibration interaction

open access: yes, 2016
On the elementary level, electronic current consists of individual electron tunnelling events that are separated by random time intervals. The waiting time distribution is a probability to observe the electron transfer in the detector electrode at time ...

Molecular vibration in cold collision theory

open access: yes, 2002
Cold collisions of ground state oxygen molecules with Helium have been investigated in a wide range of cold collision energies (from 1 $\mu$K up to 10 K) treating the oxygen molecule first as a rigid rotor and then introducing the vibrational degree of ...

Molecular dynamics simulation of monocrystalline copper nano-scratch process under the excitation of ultrasonic vibration

open access: yesMaterials Research Express, 2021
In order to explore the mechanism of unidirectional ultrasonic vibration-assisted machining from a microscopic point of view, the molecular dynamic (MD) simulation method is used to simulate the scratch process of monocrystalline copper under ultrasonic ...

Electron-vibration interaction in single-molecule junctions: from contact to tunneling regime [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Point contact spectroscopy on a H2O molecule bridging Pt electrodes reveals a clear crossover between enhancement and reduction of the conductance due to electron-vibration interaction.

Interface originated modification of electron-vibration coupling in resonant photoelectron spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2014
We present a comprehensive study of the photon energy ($h \nu$) dependent line-shape evolution of molecular orbital signals of large $\pi$-conjugated molecules by resonant photoelectron spectroscopy (RPES).

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Physicochemical Profiling, Bioactive Properties, and Spectroscopic Fingerprinting of Cow’s Milk from the Pampas Valley (Tayacaja, Peru): A Chemometric Approach to Geographical Differentiation

open access: yesMolecules
This study aimed to characterize the physicochemical and functional properties of bovine milk from four districts (Acraquia, Ahuaycha, Pampas, and Daniel Hernández) of the Pampas Valley, Tayacaja province, Huancavelica (Peru), and assess its geographical

Reducing dynamic disorder in small-molecule organic semiconductors by suppressing large-amplitude thermal motions

open access: yesNature Communications, 2016
Thermal vibration is harmful to charge transport in molecular semiconductors, which hinders the use of these materials in flexible electronics. Here, Illig et al.show that the vibration is suppressed when molecular side chains are attached to the long ...

Modeling a Mechanical Molecular Spring Isolator with High-Static-Low-Dynamic-Stiffness Properties

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2020
A mechanical molecular spring isolator (MMSI) is proposed for the purpose of isolating the low-frequency vibration of a heavy payload. The MMSI is a passive vibration isolation technique mimicking molecular spring isolator characteristics of high-static ...
