The molecular weight of a-chymotrypsinogen

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta, 1957
Abstract The molecular weight of crystalline a-chymotrypsinogen has been determined from amino acid analysis, light-scattering, and sedimentation-diffusion measurements. The values obtained by the use of these methods are, respectively, 25,100, 26,000 and 24,200.

Determination of Molecular Weight and Molecular-Weight Distribution

1977
Molecular-weight determination methods can be classed as absolute, equivalent, or relative. Absolute methods allow the molecular weight to be calculated directly from the measured quantities; a knowledge of the physical and chemical structure of the molecules is not required.

Tuning Entanglement Molecular Weights with Ultrahigh-Molecular-Weight Polystyrenics

Journal of the American Chemical Society
We report a method to produce ultrahigh-molecular-weight (UHMW, >106 Da) styrenic polymers with tunable entanglement molecular weights (Me). The high number of primary chain entanglements (≫10) results in good mechanical strength and dimensional stability at elevated temperatures while maintaining melt and solution reprocessability over multiple cycles

Molecular weight characterization of polybutadiene rubber with high molecular weight and broad molecular weight distribution

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1980
AbstractFollowing the molecular weight characterization of two polybutadiene samples, it was found that Mw from gel permeation chromatography with universal calibration and light scattering were in agreement, but Mn by gel permeation chromatography was less than Mn from membrane osmometry.

Determination of Molecular Weights and Molecular Weight Distribution of Polyacrylamides

SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 1984
ABSTRACT A high-performance, size-exclusion chromatography procedure has been developed for determining molecular weights and molecular weight distributions of polyacrylamides. The procedure can be applied to dry or emulsion polyacrylamides. Virgin polymers and polymers passed through Berea sandstone cores can be analyzed. The analytical
