THE MOLECULAR WEIGHT OF ANTIBODIES [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1939
1. Highly purified preparations of homogeneous antibody can be made by the salt dissociation methods (6, 7) without any change in sedimentation due to the method of purification. 2. Antibodies prepared from sera of various animal species fall into two groups as regards molecular weight; in one group cow, horse, and pig, a heavy molecule ...

On the Determination of the Transition to Pure Reptation by Dielectric Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Polymer melts show a characteristic molecular weight dependent relaxation time that can be related to the unentangled and entangled regime. At high molecular weights, influence of contour length fluctuations and con-straint release cease and pure reptation prevails.

Two-dimensional spatial coherence of excitons in semicrystalline polymeric semiconductors: The effect of molecular weight [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B 88, 155202 (2013) [14 pages], 2013
The electronic properties of macromolecular semiconductor thin films depend profoundly on their solid-state microstructure, which in turn is governed, among other things, by the processing conditions selected and the polymer chemical nature and molecular weight.

Molecular dynamics lattice gas equilibrium distribution function for Lennard-Jones particles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The molecular dynamics lattice gas method maps a molecular dynamics simulation onto a lattice gas using a coarse-graining procedure. This is a novel fundamental approach to derive the lattice Boltzmann method by taking a Boltzmann average over the molecular dynamics lattice gas.

Few-Shot Graph Learning for Molecular Property Prediction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
The recent success of graph neural networks has significantly boosted molecular property prediction, advancing activities such as drug discovery. The existing deep neural network methods usually require large training dataset for each property, impairing their performances in cases (especially for new molecular properties) with a limited amount of ...

Rheological measurement of molecular weight distribution of polymers

open access: yese-Polymers, 2013
This paper has described a method to obtain the molecular weight distribution (MWD) of polymeric materials from their rheological data. The method has been developed for linear polymers with log normal molecular weight distribution.

Conformational rearrangements in thin films of polydimethylsiloxane melt [PDF]

open access: yesPolymer 47, 878 (2006), 2005
Synchrotron X-ray reflectivity (XRR) confirms the formation of a quasi-immobilized layer in thin films of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) melts near silica surfaces. This layer (40-60A) has a lower density than the bulk value, and its thickness varies slightly with PDMS molecular weight.

Kinetic Study of Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization of Methyl Acrylate with Polyvinyl Acetate Macroinitiator [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2013
In atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of methyl acrylate (MA) with polyvinyl acetate macroinitiator in bulk at 90°C the plots of Ln [M]0/[M] increased linearly with reaction time.

Molecular and DNA Artificial Neural Networks via Fractional Coding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
This paper considers implementation of artificial neural networks (ANNs) using molecular computing and DNA based on fractional coding. Prior work had addressed molecular two-layer ANNs with binary inputs and arbitrary weights. In prior work using fractional coding, a simple molecular perceptron that computes sigmoid of scaled weighted sum of the inputs

Polysaccharides Derived From the Brown Algae Lessonia nigrescens Enhance Salt Stress Tolerance to Wheat Seedlings by Enhancing the Antioxidant System and Modulating Intracellular Ion Concentration

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2019
Soil salinity reduces plant growth and is a major factor that causes decreased agricultural productivity worldwide. Seaweed polysaccharides promote crop growth and improve plant resistance to abiotic stress.
