Priming techniques for sustainable Agro-Ecological system and abiotic stress mollification: A Review
Abiotic stress refers to the diverse range of environmental challenges that plants encounter. Environmental stressors such as salt, temperature, nutritional deprivation, and heavy metal toxicity can lead to problems in the functioning of seedling ...

The difference in criminal thinking styles and the depth of involvement in criminal lifestyles with regard to the age, recidivism and violence of a criminal offence [PDF]
The aim of this study is to determine the differences in criminal thinking styles measured by Psychological Inventory of Criminal Thinking Styles, PICTS (Walters, 1995; 2005), on the one hand, and criminal behavioural styles measured by Lifestyle ...

Detection of Edge with the Aid of Mollification Based on Wavelets
In preceding papers, the present authors proposed the application of the mollification based on wavelets to the calculation of the fractional derivative (fD) or the derivative of a function involving noise. We study here the application of that method to the detection of edge of a function. Mathieu et al.

A variational technique of mollification applied to backward heat conduction problems
This paper addresses a backward heat conduction problem with fractional Laplacian and time-dependent coefficient in an unbounded domain. The problem models generalized diffusion processes and is well-known to be severely ill-posed. We investigate a simple and powerful variational regularization technique based on mollification.

Automatic numerical differentiation by discrete mollification
The author gives a method to estimate the derivative based on attempting to reconstruct a modified version of the derivative. This approach was first introduced by \textit{V. V. Vasin} [Zh. Vychisl. Mat. Mat. Fiz. 13, 1383-1389 (1973; Zbl 0306.65007)].

Robust Classification by Coupling Data Mollification with Label Smoothing
Introducing training-time augmentations is a key technique to enhance generalization and prepare deep neural networks against test-time corruptions. Inspired by the success of generative diffusion models, we propose a novel approach of coupling data mollification, in the form of image noising and blurring, with label smoothing to align predicted label ...

A Mollification Method for a Noncharacteristic Cauchy Problem for a Parabolic Equation
The object of this paper is the study of the following noncharactristic Cauchy problem \[ u_t-a(x)u_{xx}-b(x)u_x-c(x)u=0,\quad u(0,t)=\varphi(t),\quad u_x(0,t)=0. \] The analysis of this problem is clear and was studied by the author in previous papers, too. It is proved, that under certain assumptions for the coefficients the above problem has a \(L_p\

Numerical identification of forcing terms by discrete mollification
AbstractA new and totally automated technique for the approximate reconstruction of the unknown forcing terms in a system of ordinary differential equations when the experimental information is obtained through measured data, on a discrete set of points, is presented.
