Adenosine triphosphate as a modulator of protein interactions and stability

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ATP is best known as the cell's energy currency, but it also shapes how proteins fold, interact, aggregate and form biomolecular condensates. This review explains the emerging physical principles behind these effects, including weak binding to charged protein regions, magnesium‐dependent behaviour and concentration‐dependent control of protein ...

GelMA‐based 3D spheroids recapitulate transcriptomic and functional hallmarks of myeloid sarcoma

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
GelMA 5% hydrogels support the formation of myeloid leukemia spheroids that recapitulate MS‐specific features, including G1 arrest, apoptosis, and ECM‐driven transcriptomic reprogramming. The 3D model mimicked soft‐tissue‐like stiffness and oxygen conditions, and transcriptomic convergence with primary MS samples confirmed its utility as a preclinical ...

Blood RNA Biomarker Signatures for Early Diagnosis and Prognosis in Ischemic and Hemorrhagic Stroke: The IBIS‐CT1 Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the expression of nine blood RNA biomarkers in a clinical trial based on genes previously identified in an experimental monkey model of stroke for diagnosis feasibility and prognostication. Methods IBIS‐CT1 was a prospective longitudinal study enrolling patients with ischemic stroke (IS) or intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH ...

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Detection of molten pool state using ResNet50 and control of molten pool penetration in CO2 gas shielded arc welding

open access: yesWelding in the World
Abstract In V groove butt welding with a ceramic backing material, the molten pool should penetrate well. Regardless of the gap fluctuations, the molten pool must maintain a good penetration shape. For this purpose, the molten pool state is detected using ResNet50 as one of the deep learning.

Thin Molten Pool Behaviors in Blue Laser Microjoining

open access: yesWelding Journal, 2022
Thin copper materials are difficult to weld using infrared lasers (IR) due to their low energy absorption. A blue laser with a wavelength of 450 nm strongly increases energy absorption and successfully realized the microjoining of a copper material with a thickness of 0.1 mm.
