Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

On Moment Generating Function of Generalized Order Statistics From Extended Type II Generalized Logistic Distribution [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2014
In this paper, explicit expressions and some recurrence relations are derived for marginal and joint moment generating functions of generalized order statistics from extended type II loglogistic distribution.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The Beta-Lindley Distribution: Properties and Applications

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
We introduce the new continuous distribution, the so-called beta-Lindley distribution that extends the Lindley distribution. We provide a comprehensive mathematical treatment of this distribution.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Performance analysis of complex field network coding based on moment generating function

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2012
The moment generating function was introduced to analysis closed-form expression for the outage probability that the relays employ complex field network coding, and the effect on symbol error probability with various modulation mode was evaluated.Computer

GOODNESS-OF-FIT EMPLOYING THE MOMENT GENERATING FUNCTION BONDAD DE AJUSTE EMPLEANDO LA FUNCIÓN GENERADORA DE MOMENTOS

open access: yesRevista Colombiana de Estadística, 2010
We propose a statistic to evaluate the goodness-of-fit where we used the empirical moment generating function and the moment generating function, from the considered information it found that the Gn statistic was different behavior according to the used ...

A probablistic proof of the series representation of the MacDonald function with applications

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1998
A series representation of the Macdonald function is obtained using the properties of a probability density function and its moment generating function. Some applications of the result are discussed and an open problem is posed.

A Note on Topp-Leone Odd Log-Logistic Inverse Exponential Distribution

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2020
The inverse exponential distribution is widely used in the field of reliability. In this article, we present a generalization of the inverse exponential distribution in formation of Topp-Leone odd log-logistic inverse exponential distribution. We provide

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
