On the Convergence of Sequences of Moment Generating Functions

open access: yesThe Annals of Mathematical Statistics, 1947
The purpose of this paper is to give a few theorems concerning the reciprocal relation between the convergence of a sequence of distribution functions and the convergence of the corresponding sequence of their moment generating functions. The paper consists of two parts. In the first part the univariate case is discussed.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Dynamic Panel Data Model and Moment Generating Function [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes new sets of moment restrictions for consistently estimating the dynamic panel data model. These sets are derived from solving the moment generating functions of the error term for the dynamic panel data model and have the relevancy ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Some Properties of the Moment-Generating Function

open access: yes, 1969
This paper deals with properties of the moment-generating function. Although there are many properties of the moment-generating function, this paper will concentrate on some of the most ofter used properties of that function.

Performance Analysis of HARQ for Moment Generating Function in Nakagami-m Fading Channels

open access: yes工程科学与技术, 2014
:A joint optimization algorithm which combines M-QAM with HARQ protocol is proposed for the multi-branch two-top cooperation diversity system to minimize the symbol error rate (SER) and maximize the throughput. Using moment generating function (MGF), the

On the Muth Distribution

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2015
The Muth distribution is a continuous random variable introduced in the context of reliability theory. In this paper, some mathematical properties of the model are derived, including analytical expressions for the moment generating function, moments ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
