Multi-spectral remote sensing image fusion method based on gradient moment matching

open access: yesSystems and Soft Computing
Image fusion is a popular research direction in the field of computer vision. Traditional image fusion algorithms can achieve good results in fusing grayscale images, but it is difficult to achieve ideal results in processing multi-spectral images.

Instant and opportune time in Existential Graphs of Charles S. Peirce. For a Kairologic dimension of creativity

open access: yesPensamiento. Revista de Investigación e Información Filosófica, 2017
For esthetics, creativity is the emergence of the moment that makes it unique or a pendulum movement that revives as reminiscent blinded by a repetitive sunset.

Recalibration of LBM Populations for Construction of Grid Refinement with No Interpolation

open access: yesFluids, 2023
Grid refinement is used to reduce computing costs while maintaining the precision of fluid simulation. In the lattice Boltzmann method (LBM), grid refinement often uses interpolated values.

Distributional Reinforcement Learning via Moment Matching

open access: yesProceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, 2021
We consider the problem of learning a set of probability distributions from the empirical Bellman dynamics in distributional reinforcement learning (RL), a class of state-of-the-art methods that estimate the distribution, as opposed to only the expectation, of the total return.

Ovarian Sex Cord Stromal Tumors in Children and Adolescents—The European Standard Clinical Practice Recommendations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As part of the European Cooperative Study Group for Paediatric Rare Tumours initiative, we developed standard clinical practice guidelines for ovarian sex cord stromal tumors, based on comprehensive national and international cohort analyses, literature review, and a final expert consensus conference.

Fast Algorithms for Computing the Statistics of Pattern Matching

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Pattern matching is a fundamental problem in theoretical computer science. The algorithms for pattern matching and the study on the statistics of pattern matching have found enormous applications in practical fields.

On moment matching of transfer functions and their derivatives

open access: yes2015 European Control Conference (ECC), 2015
In this paper we study the problem of computing the (family of) reduced order model(s) that satisfy the following properties the systems match the moments of the given to be reduced system and the same property holds for the first order derivatives of the corresponding transfer functions. We prove that such a model exists and compute it.

Natural Killer Cells in Paediatric Soft Tissue Sarcomas: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Paediatric soft tissue sarcomas (pSTS) are a rare and heterogeneous group of malignant tumours arising in tissues of mesenchymal origin. The role of natural killer (NK) cells in pSTS remains poorly understood, with evidence fragmented across small preclinical studies and early‐phase clinical trials.

Matching conditions for values of characteristic oblique derivative at the end of a string, initial data and right-hand side of the wave equation

open access: yesЖурнал Белорусского государственного университета: Математика, информатика, 2020
Sufficient matching conditions the time-dependent characteristic first derivatives in the boundary mode with the initial conditions and the more general vibration equation of a semi-bounded string are derived in the sets of solutions of all higher order ...

Animal‐Assisted Activities With Therapy Dogs in Pediatric Oncology: A Multicenter Survey of the Current Status, Implementation, and Challenges in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Animal‐assisted activities (AAAs) with therapy dogs have shown positive effects on patient well‐being and quality of life in various areas of medicine, including pediatric oncology. However, research on this topic is limited. The aim of this study is to present the current status of AAA in pediatric oncology in Germany, Austria, and
