Post-1800 copies of Atlas Silesiae: may we talk about the second edition?
In the earlier paper (Paprotny, 2022b) I have presented all known states of maps encountered in the 1750 (i.e. 1752) edition of Atlas Silesiae, together with the composition of several Atlas copies from this edition (in terms of states of included maps).

We analyzed the distribution of seismic moment in Italy, computed from instrumental seismicity recorded by the Italian National Seismic Network in the past 14 years, to map the areas where seismic deformation processes have been active in this time ...

Calabi–Yau structures on (quasi-)bisymplectic algebras
We show that relative Calabi–Yau structures on noncommutative moment maps give rise to (quasi-)bisymplectic structures, as introduced by Crawley-Boevey–Etingof–Ginzburg (in the additive case) and Van den Bergh (in the multiplicative case). We prove along

Digitised Maps in the Danish Map Collection
As in the rest of the library world, The Royal Library in Copenhagen is in the process of digitising its collections. At the moment we are mainly working on the handwritten manual catalogue - but digitising the material is also a major working assignment.

Fitting traffic traces with discrete canonical phase type distributions and Markov arrival processes
Recent developments of matrix analytic methods make phase type distributions (PHs) and Markov Arrival Processes (MAPs) promising stochastic model candidates for capturing traffic trace behaviour and for efficient usage in queueing analysis.

Mean Curvature Flow, Orbits, Moment Maps [PDF]
Given a compact Riemannian manifold together with a group of isometries, we discuss MCF of the orbits and some applications: eg, finding minimal orbits. We then specialize to Lagrangian orbits in Kaehler manifolds.

Global data have been widely used for seismicity and seismic hazard assessment by seismologists. In the present study we evaluate worldwide seismicity in terms of maps of maximum observed magnitude (Mmax), seismic moment (M 0 ) and seismic moment rate (M

Moment maps at the quantum level [PDF]
We introduce the notion of moment maps for quantum groups acting on their module algebras. When the module algebras are quantizations of Poisson manifolds, we prove that the construction at the quantum level is a quantization of that at the semi ...

A Line-Surface Integrated Algorithm for Underwater Terrain Matching [PDF]
The current underwater terrain surface matching algorithm, which uses Hu moment as the similarity index, cannot gain accurate location due to the algorithm's disadvantage in detecting slight differences.
