Prediction of VMAT delivery accuracy with textural features calculated from fluence maps

open access: yesRadiation Oncology, 2019
Background Comprehensively textural feature performance test from volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) fluences to predict plan delivery accuracy. Methods A total of 240 VMAT plans for various treatment sites were analyzed, with Trilogy and TrueBeam ...

Moment Maps and Equivariant Szegö Kernels [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Symplectic Geometry, 2004
Suppose given an Hamiltonian action of a compact semisimple Lie group on a polarized complex projective manifold $(M,L)$. We study by means of microlocal techniques the local and global asymptotic behaviour of linear series on $M$ defined in terms of the action and the irreducible representations of $G$.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Zinc doped copper ferrite particles as temperature sensors for magnetic resonance imaging

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
We investigate the use of Cu0.35Zn0.65Fe2O4 particles as temperature-dependent sensors in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This material has a Curie temperature near 290 K, but in the large magnetic fields found in MRI scanners, there is a significant ...

Strength of pelvic floor in men: reliability intra examiners

open access: yesFisioterapia em Movimento, 2018
Introduction: The obtaining of urinary continence is due to the strength of the pelvic floor muscles (MAPs) at the moment of muscle contraction, when there are sudden increases in intra-abdominal pressure, which increases urethral closure pressure and ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
