Dynamic parameters of earthquake sources that occurred on Sakhalin Island in 1978–2024 [PDF]
The values of dynamic parameters (DP) for 110 earthquakes with magnitudes MW = 4.7–7.7 that occurred on Sakhalin in 1978–2024 were obtained. A scalar seismic moment was previously determined for these earthquakes. To estimate the other DP: the radii of

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

MOMENT MAPS, SYMPLECTIC MANIFOLDS, COHERENT STATES APPLIED TO NUCLEAR COLLECTIVE MOTION [PDF]
On décrit l'utilisation de la "déquantification" au moyen d'états cohérents afin d'étudier les moments et les variétés symplectiques pour le moment collectif nucléaire.Dequantization through coherent states is used to study moment maps and symplectic ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Moment Maps On Symplectic Cones [PDF]
this paper, we prove a different kind of result, closer in spirit to perturbation theory: We start with a special non-compact symplectic manifold, described below, for which a similar convexity theorem holds, and consider the changes of the underlying ...

Aspects of Poisson-Lie T-duality are reviewed in more algebraic way than in our, rather geometric, previous papers. As a new result, a moment map is constructed for the Poisson-Lie symmetry of the system consisting of open strings propagating in a Poisson-Lie group manifold.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Orbifold instantons, moment maps, and Yang-Mills theory with sources [PDF]
We revisit the problem of constructing instantons on ADE orbifolds R-4/Gamma and point out some subtle relations with the complex structure on the orbifold.

Symplectic maps and hyperKähler moment map geometry
We obtain a correspondence between the group of symplectic diffeomorphisms of a 4-dimensional real torus and the vanishing locus of a certain hyperKähler moment map. This observation gives rise to a new flow, called the modified moment map flow. The construction can be adapted to the polyhedral setting, for which we prove a Duistermaat type theorem ...
