Moments of nonclassicality quasiprobabilities
A method is introduced for the verification of nonclassicality in terms of moments of nonclassicality quasiprobability distributions. The latter are easily obtained from experimental data and will be denoted as nonclassicality moments.

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

A Bimodal Extension of the Beta-Binomial Distribution with Applications
In this paper, we propose an alternative distribution to model count data exhibiting uni/bimodality. It arises as a weighted version of the beta-binomial distribution, which is defined by a parametric weight function that admits up to two modes for the ...

Bounds on stationary moments in stochastic chemical kinetics [PDF]
In the stochastic formulation of chemical kinetics, the stationary moments of the population count of species can be described via a set of linear equations. However, except for some specific cases such as systems with linear reaction propensities, the moment equations are underdetermined as a lower order moment might depend upon a higher order moment.

Robust Moment Closure Method for the Chemical Master Equation
The Chemical Master Equation (CME) is used to stochastically model biochemical reaction networks, under the Markovian assumption. The low-order statistical moments induced by the CME are often the key quantities that one is interested in.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae amino acid transporter Lyp1 has a broad substrate spectrum
In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Yeast Amino acid Transporter family members mediate the import of amino acids, ranging from substrate specialists to generalists. Here, we show that the specialist transporter, Lyp1, has a broader substrate spectrum than previously described, with affinity constants spanning from micromolar to millimolar.

Weyl Circles for one-dimensional Moment Problems [PDF]
In the present paper we calculate the centers and radii of Weyl circles from the Nevanlinna parametrization for various one-dimensional moment problems (Hamburger moment problem, Stieltjes moment problem, truncated moment problem for finite intervals).

In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.
